High Five Basketball Competition

High Five Competition

High Five is a version of the traditional game of Basketball. A team consists of three players on court at any time. Roll on and roll of substitutions are permitted throughout the game but there must always be at least one boy and one girl on court at any time.
The competition, held at Sacred Heart School was organised by the Havering Sports Collective and our team was overseen by Mr Morris and our Basketball Coach. 14 schools entered the competition each playing seven matches in the first round. The tournament was divided into two groups with the top two teams from each group going through to the finals.

Ardleigh Green 7 v 7 Saint Josephs
Ardleigh Green 12 v 1 Drapers Brookside
Ardleigh Green 6 v 4 Rise Park
Having played six matches, winning four, drawing one and losing one, Ardleigh Green together with Broadford went through to the semi-final where they played Saint Edwards.

Semi Final
Ardleigh Green 2 v 4 Saint Edwards
Saint Edwards went through to the final where they played Parsonage Farm.

The winners of the tournament was Parsonage Farm. Congratulations to their team and coach. Congratulations also to Ardleigh Green team for their outstanding performances throughout the competition and their excellent sportsmanship.
