PE Information
Class Elm have PE on Monday and Thursday. On Mondays they will need to wear school uniform, trainers and no jewellery. On Thursdays, children will need to come in wearing school PE kit and trainers with no jewellery. Any long hair should be tied back.
Homework
Homework is set every Friday and is due in the following Friday. Instructions will be stuck in the homework diary each Friday so that you can check what needs to be done.
Homework Club will soon begin on a Thursday and you will be able to sign up for a place if your child is interested. Please make sure your child saves their homework to do at the club otherwise they will have nothing to do.
When we set MyMaths homework we ask that the children complete the lesson first if they are struggling, to refresh their memories. Then they can complete the homework task set. They should keep trying the task until they have achieved 90%
When RMEasimaths is set, we ask that the children complete at least 20 minutes worth of the programme. This may be more than one session.
X Tables – Please work with us to help your child learn their X tables. Guidance on learning tables can be found inside the front cover of the homework diary.
Spelling – Please work with us to help your child learn spellings each week; it is so important.
Reading – we ask that you encourage your children to read as often as you can but at least three times a week. We will reward every read with a dojo in school. If your child struggles with reading, we suggest reading with them more frequently.

Times tables are tested every Friday. Children should practise their times tables regularly at home in order to progress and get their bronze, silver, gold and platinum awards.
